The WELL Building Standard ® is a performance based system that unites best practice in design and construction with evidence-based health and wellness interventions, which was launched in 2013. On the contrary of other green building rating systems, WELL presents strategies to enhance human health and well-being of the occupants in the buildings, and to elevate human health and comfort. Each feature of the WELL Building Standard™ is ascribed to the human body systems that are intended to benefit from its implementation. This enables project teams to classify the intended benefits of each WELL feature and develop a comprehensive set of strategies.
